In the State of Baden-Württemberg, 65 tax offices ensure the fair and uniform assessment and collection of taxes. They are supported in this by 40 official building experts organized into four regional teams. We are looking for someone to join the South Baden Regional Team (based at one of the South Baden tax offices).

THESE ARE YOUR NEW RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation and Review of Market Value Appraisals and Valuations
  • Preparation of technical construction reports
  • Assessment of Construction Projects in Relation to Tax Law

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • A completed degree as a Dipl.Ing. (FH/TH), a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, surveying, or a comparable qualification, or a professional qualification in the banking sector—e.g., banking clerk, banking specialist, or banking business administrator—with several years of professional experience in the field of appraising developed and undeveloped properties.
  • Ideally, you are a certified real estate appraiser (e.g., HypZert, DIA, Sprengnetter) or have knowledge and experience in land and real estate appraisal.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work independently and responsibly
  • Negotiation skills when dealing with taxpayers, advisors, and external experts
  • An open-minded approach to issues in tax law
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, dedication, and resilience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in using common Office applications is required

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US

  • Thorough training in the new area of responsibility/specialization of real estate valuation for tax purposes
  • We offer a recognized additional qualification in the form of a part-time degree program (2 semesters) to become a real estate appraiser (DIA) for the appraisal of developed and undeveloped properties, as well as for rents and leases.

  • The option to work partially remotely or from home
  • If the requirements under civil service law are met, the candidate may be appointed to the civil service. The position will then be classified at pay grade A12.
  • Employer-Sponsored Retirement Plan (VBL)

The employment relationship is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Public Sector of the German States (TVL). The position is classified in Pay Grade 11 of the TV-L. In principle, professional experience may be taken into account when determining the experience level.

This is a full-time, permanent position that can generally be split into part-time hours. In the interest of professional equality, applications from women are particularly encouraged.
