Are pensions tax-free?

Only a few types of pensions are fully tax-exempt. These are, in particular, pensions from statutory accident insurance (e.g. pensions from employers' liability insurance associations), war pensions and pensions for severely disabled persons and reparation pensions. Otherwise, pensions are in principle partially subject to income tax.
