Warning about scam
Requests for payment are currently being sent to traders by email, allegedly in the name of the "tax office Mannheim-Stadt" by the company "Universum Inkasso GmbH" from Frankfurt am Main. The alleged claim is based on the fact that the tax office Mannheim-Stadt has commissioned the company "Universum Inkasso GmbH" to collect the outstanding debt.
The tax office Mannheim-Stadt expressly points out that there is no contractual relationship with external debt collection companies that have been commissioned to collect debts. All official requests for payment are made exclusively through the usual administrative channels and are clearly recognizable as letters from the tax office Mannheim-Stadt.
