Online appointment scheduling system in use at tax offices in Baden-Württemberg

As of now, citizens can use a booking portal to book an appointment online in advance for a visit to the service centre of their competent tax office - the so-called Central Information and Acceptance Point (ZIA).

Appointments can be made via the appointment system on the tax offices' homepage.

With this new service offer, citizens are given the opportunity to plan the time of contact on site and thus optimally integrate it into their own daily routine. In addition, by avoiding waiting times, the necessary distance rules can be better observed and the risk of infection minimised.

In addition, it is also possible to use the contact form to securely transmit https-encrypted messages and attachments to the tax office online. In addition to the contact message structured by information in mandatory fields, attachments up to a maximum of 15 MB can also be uploaded to the contact message and sent to the tax office without any problems.

Background "digital@bw"

Digitalisation is a central focus of the state government. To this end, it has launched an investment offensive: around one billion euros will be invested in digitisation during this legislative period. With "digital@bw", the first state-wide and cross-departmental digitisation strategy was presented in summer 2017, which was created in teamwork by all ministries. Over the next two years, more than 70 very specific projects with a volume of more than 300 million euros will be implemented to anchor Baden-Württemberg as a leading region for digital transformation in Europe. One of the focal points of "digital@bw" is Administration 4.0. With www.digital-bw.de, the state government has also launched a central online portal
as a new showcase for digitalisation.
