Press release

The tax office informs:

The cities and municipalities will soon start sending out property tax assessments for the years from 2025.

The cities or municipalities are responsible for answering questions relating to these notices. This applies in particular to the assessment rates applied. Property owners can find up-to-date information on property tax on the website www.grundsteuer-bw.de. For these reasons, anyone who has already lodged an objection against the property tax assessment notice/property tax assessment notice does not need to lodge an additional objection against the property tax assessment notice. If the objections to the tax office are successful, the cities or municipalities will amend the resulting property tax assessment notices accordingly ex officio. Objections are still being processed by the tax offices. The tax offices therefore ask property owners to refrain from making enquiries at this time. The standard land value and the standard land value zones are determined by the independent expert committees. The local expert committee is responsible for questions regarding the individual standard land values. The relevant standard land value is the average location value for the land within the standard land value zone. Consequently, the standard land value does not reflect the individual land value of an individual property. The relevant standard land values can be accessed via www.grundsteuer-bw.de tile "Bodenrichtwerte Grundvermögen" or directly via www.gutachterausschuesse-bw.de. The "Standard land values for property tax B" section must be selected there. If you do not agree with the land value assessed for your property, you have the option of submitting a qualified expert opinion to the tax office. The requirements for such an appraisal can be found on the website www.grundsteuer-bw.de under the tile "Submitting an appraisal".
