ELSTER stands for electronic tax return. This procedure allows you to submit your tax return to the tax office via the Internet. In addition, ELSTER offers further functions.
My ELSTER is a personalized, partially barrier-free (target barrier-free) and platform-independent access to the electronic services of the tax administration. You do not need to install a program on your computer, but only need to register once and free of charge with your personal identification number. If you need help registering with My ELSTER, you can book an appointment with your tax office with the request "ELSTER registration/access renewal". You will then be guided through the registration process on site and will receive your ELSTER certificate to take home with you.
If you have already registered but can no longer log in, you can renew access to your ELSTER user account. If you encounter any problems, you can also make an appointment with your tax office to renew your access with on-site support.
