Press release Oberfinanzdirektion Baden-Württemberg

Start of the 2024 investment campaign

Since March 17, the tax offices in Baden-Württemberg have been processing income tax returns for 2024.

Employers, insurance companies and other institutions have until February 28 of each year to submit the data required for tax calculation electronically to the tax authorities. This includes, for example, wage tax certificates, contribution data for health and long-term care insurance, pension provision and pension payment notifications.

Tips for submitting your tax return:

"Use MY ELSTER via www.elster.de,"advises Chief Finance President Dr. Bernd Kraft. "By submitting your return electronically via Elster, you can help to speed up the processing of your return yourself, as the data is available to the tax office directly and digitally."
When using ELSTER, numerous tax-relevant data can also be easily transferred to your own tax return via the retrieval of certificates, e.g. for wages, pensions, contributions to health / long-term care insurance and pensions. The completed tax return is then checked for input errors at ELSTER. This avoids unnecessary follow-up questions and can also speed up the processing of your tax return
