    Record numbers in pandemic year 2020

    The Baden-Württemberg tax administration has set a new record with around 4.2 million income tax returns in 2020. Despite more difficult working conditions due to the Corona pandemic, the average processing time was improved by one day last year. "It is outstanding that the more than 16,000 employees completed significantly more tasks in less time under pandemic conditions.     The federal and state governments have agreed that income from the operation of small photovoltaic systems with up to 10 kilowatts (kW) will no longer be covered by income tax in the future.

    The simplification rule applies to the plants that were put into operation after December 31, 2003. Income from such plants no longer has to be declared in income tax returns.
