Confirmation of receipt only via ELSTER

If you send a message to your responsible tax office via the ELSTER portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. This gives you immediate confirmation that your message has been received, especially when lodging appeals.

You can find this confirmation of receipt in "My ELSTER" as follows:

  • My forms / Submitted forms
  • In the "Status" column, you can see whether the transmission was successful.
  • The ticket transfer number can be used to clearly identify the document and search for it if necessary.


Other, i.e. personal confirmations of receipt for letters to the tax office (paper, contact form, etc.) cannot be issued. Only the handover of documents as part of an appointment booked in advance via the
appointment system (on the tax office's homepage) will be confirmed in writing if required. We ask for your understanding.
