Acknowledgements of receipt for letters to the tax office

If you send a message to your responsible tax office via the portal ELSTER, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. Especially when filing an objection, you thus have immediate confirmation that your message has arrived.

You can find this confirmation of receipt in "My ELSTER" as follows, if applicable:

• My Forms / Submitted Forms
• In the "Status" column you can see whether the submission was successful.
• With the ticket transfer number, the document can be clearly identified and searched for if necessary.

Other, i.e. personal acknowledgements of receipt for letters to the tax office (paper, contact form, etc.) cannot be issued. Only the handover of documents within the scope of an appointment booked in advance via the appointment system (on the homepage of the tax office) at
