What is ELSTER?
ELSTER stands for electronictax return. This procedure allows you to submit your tax return to the tax office via the Internet. In addition, ELSTER offers further functions.
My ELSTER - Your online tax office
My ELSTER is a personalized, partially barrier-free (target barrier-free) and platform-independent access to the electronic services of the tax administration. You do not need to install a program on your computer, but only need to register once and free of charge with your personal identification number. Further information can also be found at www.elster.de.

If you need help registering with My ELSTER, you can book an appointment with your tax office with the request "ELSTER registration/access renewal". You will then be guided through the registration process on site and receive your ELSTER certificate to take home with you.
If you have already registered but can no longer log in, you can renew access to your ELSTER user account. If you encounter any problems, you can also make an appointment with your tax office to renew your access with on-site support.

Consult the EVA chat. A certificate is required for electronic authentication. You must acquire the certificate either by registering in My ELSTER or, if you use certain signature cards, by registering in My ELSTER. In order to use My ELSTER, you need a domestic ordering criterion (tax number).
This order criterion in the form of a tax number, can be applied for at the tax office Neubrandenburg - RAB.
If, for example, you work abroad as a tax consultant or as a tax advisor and have been commissioned by domestic taxpayers and want to transmit data authenticated, you can apply for the order criterion at the Neubrandenburg Tax Office - RAB.
Also domestic authorities who want to transmit data authenticated, but do not have a domestic tax number, can apply for the order criterion at the Neubrandenburg Tax Office - RAB.
If they live abroad and are the owner of a domestic property and want to submit your property tax return.

Application for issuance of an order criterion
The Neubrandenburg - RAB tax office will then notify you of the classification criterion (tax number) by letter. With this you then register at My ELSTER for an organization certificate.
You only need the order criterion (tax number) for registration at My ELSTER. The authenticated transmission must always be made with the tax number (in the case of the property tax return with the corresponding file number of the property) of the taxpayer. With the assignment of the order criterion, no tax or tax-related checks are carried out. Please clarify this with the tax office responsible for the tax.
Note: The Neubrandenburg - RAB tax office is located in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Therefore, "Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" must be selected as the country when registering.
