The reason for this is that the tax office Weinheim is reorganizing internally. "The reorganization will improve the processes in the tax office," said office manager Rüdiger Mangold. "As our colleagues are changing teams and rooms, we will not be available by telephone for just over a week. Citizens can still submit their concerns in writing, preferably via our contact form and also via My ELSTER. We process these submissions - as well as tax returns - on an ongoing basis.

Taxpayers can also book appointments at the Central Information and Collection Point for personal consultations as usual during the period in which the tax office Weinheim is not available by telephone. From Monday, December 8, 2025, the tax office Weinheim will be available by telephone again.

However, there will be a change in telephone availability. In future, calls will be answered by the office's own central switchboard. This means that certain requests from citizens, such as deadline extensions or information, will be answered centrally and directly. "There will no longer be a direct connection to the relevant colleagues, as the central switchboard can resolve simple issues directly," says Head of Office Mangold. Issues that cannot be resolved immediately will be dealt with promptly by the responsible staff by calling back or in writing.
