Where and how do I get the tax number for my company now?
Complete the tax registration questionnaire online at www.elster.de and send it electronically to your tax office. You will receive your tax number from your tax office by post once the questionnaire has been checked. You must be registered at ELSTER to submit the tax registration questionnaire.
How do I register my company?
First register your company using only your e-mail address; this is done on the homepage www.elster.de under "Create user account".
During the registration process, select "With e-mail ....". This will create a certificate file for your company.
You can only use this certificate to submit the tax registration questionnaire electronically to the tax office. The advantage is that you
can submit the questionnaire immediately.
Now complete the online questionnaire for tax registration:

To be able to use the full service, convert your registration with e-mail into a fully-fledged user account as soon as you have received a
tax number for your company from the tax office. This process can take up to two weeks.
