The tax offices in Baden-Württemberg have set up "service centres" for you. These are also called "Central information and acceptance offices", in short "ZIA". This allows us to establish direct contact with you and guarantee you the best possible customer service.
Our tasks include, among other things, the acceptance of tax returns and wage tax reduction applications, the provision of general tax information and the issue of forms as required.
You can find the opening hours of the service centre of your tax office on the homepage of your tax office.
You cannot reach the Service Center staff by telephone, as this is the only way to ensure that public traffic is handled as quickly and appropriately as possible.
Of course, you can also send your tax return to the tax office by post or electronically via ELSTER.
In addition, please use the mailbox of the respective tax office to hand in your tax return or other correspondence, as the tax return officers do not check the tax returns for correctness or completeness.
You no longer need receipts to submit your tax return. In the tax offices, the obligation to keep receipts has replaced the obligation to submit rece ipts.
The service centre staff therefore no longer check the documents for accuracy or completeness.
You can find an overview in our FAQ.
At the service centres, we can answer organisational and general questions about filing your tax return. We can only provide support in this regard.
We are not permitted to offer tax advice. Therefore, we must ask you to consult members of the tax advisory professions for tax-related questions.
You can only deal with highly personal questions and matters at the Service Centres. This means that you cannot appear there on behalf of other persons unless you present an appropriate power of attorney.
For identification purposes, please always carry an official photo ID and your ID number or tax number (if available) with you when visiting the "Service Center".
