Currently, Oberfinanzdirektion Karlsruhe is receiving information about fraudulent e-mails in which the "tax office Baden-Württemberg" is listed as the sender.
In the fake e-mails, citizens are asked to disclose information of various kinds (e.g. names, telephone numbers, information on invested funds, etc.).
These are not e-mails sent by the tax offices in Baden-Württemberg!
Our tax offices do not ask citizens to provide us with information by e-mail. Furthermore, the sender of e-mails from our tax offices is not "Finanzamt Baden-Württemberg".
We ask citizens to pay particular attention.
Those affected are asked
- not to reply to these e-mails and not to disclose any information under any circumstances
- To file a criminal complaint with the local police station and
- if in doubt, to contact the tax office responsible for them.
