The tax office Schwäbisch Hall intends to hire an employee (f/m/d) with a regular weekly working time of currently 39.5 hours to strengthen the local sales tax office as of March 1, 2025.

The area of responsibility of the internal VAT office is diverse and varied. With an annual tax revenue of around 290 billion euros, VAT is of considerable importance for the state budget. As a member of the Internal Sales Tax Office, you will make an important contribution to securing the state revenue that is needed to provide services of general interest and benefit all citizens.

The job profile essentially involves processing advance VAT returns and consists of the following tasks, among others:

  • Formal and factual review of the submitted advance VAT returns
  • Approval of VAT refunds
  • Processing of processing instructions
  • Processing requests for deadline extensions
  • Determination of late payment surcharges
  • Processing applications for deferral of offsetting or suspension of enforcement
  • Support for special VAT audits
  • Communication with taxpayers

You bring with you:

  • Completed vocational training and professional experience as a paralegal, tax clerk, bank clerk, office management assistant or a comparable profession
  • Experience in dealing with and applying laws
  • Knowledge of commercial matters, business administration or accounting
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures or office organization
  • Willingness to undergo further training with flexibility in terms of time and location
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with conflict
  • quick comprehension and good teamwork skills
  • confident handling of the PC

The position is initially limited to one year; after successfully completing the theoretical and practical training and proving yourself in the relevant field of work, you will be taken on as a permanent employee.

During the one-year induction period, the position will be classified in pay group 6 TV-L. When the employee is taken on as a permanent employee, they will regularly be assigned tasks that correspond to the characteristics of pay group 8 TV-L.
