The tax revenues in the tax office district Weinheim in the year just ended are excellent again. In 2019, the total tax revenue of the Weinheim office increased from 751.6 million euros in 2018 to now 769 million euros. This represents a slight increase in tax revenue of 2.32% over the previous year. "These are the highest tax revenues ever for the tax office Weinheim. Another record year. This reflects the robust and calm economic development also in 2019 on the Bergstrasse," said Hans-Ulrich Rau, Permanent Deputy to the Head of the Tax Office Weinheim.
Of the high-volume tax types, sales tax recorded the strongest increase of 7.44% from €233.8 million to €251.2 million. Wage tax, on the other hand, stagnated at 280.4 million euros after 284.2 million euros in the previous year, which means a slight decrease of 1.34%. The strongest increase in percentage terms was recorded by the real estate transfer tax with 12.11%, with revenues rising from 19 million euros to 21.3 million euros. Income tax revenue amounted to 106.7 million euros and corporate income tax revenue amounted to 19.8 million euros.Total tax revenue developed from 751.6 million euros in the previous year to 769 million euros in 2019, this represented a further increase of 2.32%.
