Information due to reminder on the submission of the declaration of assessment of real estate assets

The tax office explains the procedure for receiving a reminder letter for failure to submit the declaration on real property (real property tax B)

In the last few days, reminders have been sent by the tax office due to non-submission of declarations of assessment for real property (real property tax A).

You may wish to apply for an extension of the deadline or you may have already submitted a property tax return. If so, please note the following information:

Variant 1 - You have not yet submitted the real property tax return.

In the reminder letter, you were given a final six-week deadline to submit the real property tax return - please refer to the letter for the deadline end date. No further extensions of the deadline can be granted - please do not submit any requests in this regard. If we have not received a property tax return by the deadline, we will estimate the property tax value. There is no provision for the imposition of a penalty or late payment surcharge. If you do not agree with the estimated value, you can lodge an appeal within one month of receiving the notice.

Variant 2 - You have already submitted a real property tax return real property and therefore believe that you have wrongly received the reminder letter.

Please note that the declaration - whether electronic or on paper - must have been submitted under the 16-digit file number mentioned in the reminder. Only if you have used this file number is the receipt of the declaration recorded by us.

So please check whether the file number under which you submitted your declaration matches the one stated in the letter. If you have used an incorrect file number, please resubmit the declaration using the correct file number.

Please also note that owners of several properties must normally also submit several property tax returns, namely for each property unit for which they have already received a notice of assessed value under the old law.

If you submitted your property tax return under the correct file number, it is possible that the receipt overlapped with the printing of the reminder letter - returns submitted within 6 days before the reminder letter was sent to us were still reminded.
